Walt Disney World has officially announced it is expanding two of its most popular rides Soarin’at Epcot and Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The announcement came Thursday in the form of aDisney Parks Blog post. A new theater will be added to Soarin’, and a new midway track is coming to Toy Story Mania.

Soarin’ will also get additional upgrades, including new screens and an updated projection system.

Disney likely hopes the additions will allow more guests to ride the two attractions, both of which are known to regularly have long lines. Wait times for Soarin’ and Toy Story Mania are usually among the longest at Walt Disney World, and guests are urged to arrive as soon as the parks open if they want to avoid a long wait or get a FastPass+ reservation.

The expansions were not exactly Disney’s best-kept secrets, either. Theme park fans have been talking about the possibility of both rides expanding to alleviate wait times, and many have complained that the film quality on Soarin’ was in need of an upgrade.

Many have also speculated that part of the reason of theStudio Backlot Tour’s closure last year was to make way for an additional track for Toy Story Mania.

There have also been rumors that Disney plans to expand the Pixar Place area back to the now-former Backlot Tour area, but there has been no official word on that — at least not yet.
