Orlando FL- Rumors that a King King attraction will open at Universal Orlando Resort were confirmed Tuesday in Comcast’s quarterly earnings call.

“We continue to invest in attractions, including Harry Potter and the Fast & Furious attractions in Hollywood and a King Kong attraction in Orlando,” Vice Chairman and CFO of Comast Michael Angelakis said.

Angelakis didn’t elaborate on the attraction, or where it would be built, but due to the ongoing construction between the Tune Lagoon and Jurassic Park River Adventure at Islands of Adventure, it is assumed that the King Kong will land in that location.

The previous King Kong attraction, “Kongfrontation,” opened at Universal Studios on June 7, 1990, based on the 1976 remake of “King Kong.” The ride was closed on Sept.  8, 2002 and was replaced by “Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride,” which opened on May 21, 2004.
