Now we all know that Florida is no stranger to hurricanes, but how would the sunshine state stand up against a terrifying, shark-filled twister bearing its massive ‘jaws’ upon us? Well ladies and gentleman, take cover becauseUniversal Orlando Resort is about to get bit and I am already running for shelter!

This week the eagerly anticipatedSharknado 3 will be filming key scenes here at Universal Orlando Resort, and my 8-year-old, shark-loving self is shaking with excitement just thinking about it. The third installment of the film series, which stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid and Cassie Scerbo, will follow the storm-surge of flying sharks as it rips, bites and tears across the Eastern Seaboard with its sights (and razor sharp teeth) set on Orlando. Set to premiere this July on Syfy, fans of the film series will see their favorite on-screen characters once again fight for their lives to avoid becoming shark bait, with a few iconic Universal Orlando landmarks becoming prey as well.

Sharknado 3 is the follow-up sequel to 2014’s Sharknado 2: The Second One, which is currently Syfy’s most watched original movie of all time and includes numerous cameos from some of my favorite celebrities. I’m interested to know if any surprise appearances will be made in this new film.

Personally, I would like to see Katy Perry’s shark dancers from the Superbowl make the cut, but I somehow have a feeling that probably won’t happen. If y’all have any guesses from yourselves, make sure to sound off in the comments below!

Also, don’t forget to follow Universal Orlando on FacebookTwitter,Instagram and Snapchat for a chance to glimpse some of the behind the scenes action while the Sharkandocrew is in town.
