As expected, Walt Disney World is getting an STK steakhouse at Disney Springs in 2015.
In April, there was buzz of the steakhouse’s plans to come to Disney’s new shopping and entertainment district, but New York-based The One Group Hospitality Inc., the company behind the plans for STK Orlando, officially announced the news on Dec. 17.
“Our entrance into the Orlando market represents another example of our continued growth strategy. We remain on track with our expansion plans for 2015 and hope to continue to partner with exciting world-class brands like Walt Disney Parks and Resorts moving forward,” said Jonathan Segal, CEO of The One Group, in a prepared statement.
STK will occupy a two-floor building with 14,000 square feet of space, including a rooftop dining venue, at Disney Springs. It will be part of The Landings area that is already slated to welcome other additions like Morimoto Asia and The Boathouse.
The conversion of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs is ongoing and slated to be complete by 2016.
